Abstract

The communication, informatics and Statistics is a regional apparatus in province of Riau get charge of regional autonomy, decentralization, deconcentration and assistance tasks in the field of communication and information. Diskominfo and Statistics of Riau Province whichone this case can be response as gatekeeper is a person who is instrumental in dissemenation information through mass media and in this research is online media. Gatekeepers here also to role determine the quality of information in mass communication. The purpose of this research is to know the role of communication, informatics and statistics of Riau Province to support public get information, and to find out what factors in the role of the communication, informatics and statistics of Riau Province in supporting public information disclosure. The research studi is Role of Department of Communication, Informatics and Statistics of Riau Province in support of public information in Riau province is as implementer of public get information that is in the form of information activity and all SKPD in Riau Province. In conditions, the form of public information provider by the discominfo is the development of the Region and events in Riau province, business opportunity information, local government assistance information, and information that can be used in general, so the community can know all forms of activities undertaken by the government, then transparancy at the government level will be realized, as people can easy get information that should be provided to the public
