Abstract
The purpose of this research to know learning outcomes of knowledge understanding of biological concept with apply cooperative learning type make a match with using handout. This research use a classroom action research. The subject of this research were students VII-B of SMP N 3 Bangkinang. The students were 22 consists of 13 males and 9 female. The collecting data in descriptive. The data from this analysis data in descriptive. The data from this research is the result knowledge understanding concept. The result of knowledge understanding of the concept before a classroom action research was 75,584% with classical completeness 59,09%, after a classroom action research in cycle I was 77,80% increase was 6,08% with classical completeness 68,18% and in cycle II increase again was 10,3% become 88.10% with classical completeness was 95,45%. Based on the result of this research can be concluded that application cooperative learning type make a match with using handout can increase the result of learning outcomes of knowledge understanding of biological concept studens class VII-B of SMP N 3 Bangkinang in academic 2017/2018.
