Abstract

The long term goal of this research is to design a development strategy of the atom cracker products processing in Jemaja District, Anambas Island. Specific targets to be achieved are: 1. To know the characteristics and business profile of atom crackers in the Jemaja District, Anambas Island. 2. To identify and analyze the business potential, human resources, financial feasibility and venture capital, marketing and appropriate technologies. 3. Strategy needed to develop atom cracker processing business in Jemaja District, Anambas Island. 4. Internal and external environmental factors used in SWOT analysis (strengths, weakness, opportunity, threat) development strategy of atom crackers processing products in Jemaja District, Anambas Island. Data collected through observation, interviews, questionnaires, and literature. Methods of data analysis using descriptive qualitative analysis and quantitative analysis. The results showed that the business potential is quite supportive. Human resources condition is not currently good enough. For a short-term financial feasibility can be said that this business gain profit on average 11-15 million per month. In marketing, including marketing chain, marketing mix, distribution channels directly to the end users and through intermediaries. With SWOT analysis discover that Atom cracker products processing business in the Jemaja District, Anambas Island is located in Quadrant I. This is a favorable situation. The strategy adopted in this condition is to support aggressive growth policy. The strategy used for the present and the future is harnessing the power and opportunities. The advice given is to maintain the characteristic taste of the product and improve product quality by creating innovation in the packaging of the product, inovating product variation that have high appeal in order to be able to compete with other products and to enhance the production capacity.
