Abstract

This study as apurpose to determine the cognitive learning outcomes of biology of students of class VIIb Students Junior High School 35 Pekanbaru in the academic years 2015/2016 through the implementation of cooperative learning model type TGT by using posters. Classes taken to apply cooperative type (TGT) Teams Games Tournaments with poster is class VIIb Students Junior High Chool 35 Pekanbaru number of student 23 people, where number of man 11 people and woman 12 people. Parameters measured were the students' learning outcomes in the form of absorption and learning completeness obtained from the quiz each time the meeting, the task of each meeting and daily test on each cycle. Technical data analyst used is descriptive analysis technique. The processed data is the learning outcomes of Application of Cooperative Learning. The result of Application of Cooperative Learning absorption action in cycle I was 79,82% and absorption power cycle II was 90,43%, up by 10,61%. Based on the above results can be concluded that the implementation of cooperative learning TGT (Teams Games Tournaments) using posters can improve learning outcomes Biology students VIIb grade Students Junior High School 35 Pekanbaru In The Academic Years 2015/2016.
