Abstract
The consumptive behavior of students in shopping is to support their appearance. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship between self-control and consumer behavior in shopping for students. The hypothesis proposed in this study is that there is a negative relationship tween self-controland consumer behavior in shopping for students. The population in this study were students of the Faculty of Agriculture. The number of samples in this study were 88 students. The sampling technique in this study uses simple random sampling. Instrument for data retrieval in this study is the scale of consumer behavior and self-control scale. data analysis using product moment rrelation analysis in SPSS 21.0 for windows. Based on the analysis test obtained correlation coefficient value of -0.262 with p value = 0.014 (p <0.05). this shows that there is a significant negative relationship between self-control and consumptive behavior of online shopping. Thus the hypothesis in this study was accepted.
