Abstract

This research aims to know the effect of self efficacy and conformity towards academic procrastination on the students. The samples of this research were 196 students of Faculty of Psychology Riau Islamic University. The technique of taking the sample was by using Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling. This research used three scales; they are procrastination, self efficacy, and conformity. The statistical analysis used was by analyzing multiple linear regression. The statistical results showed that there is significant effect between self efficacy and conformity towards academic procrastination in the amount of F = 78,81, p = 0,00 (p<0,05). There is significantly negative effect on self efficacy and academic procrastination in the amount of β = -0,564, p = 0,000 and conformity and academic procrastination in the amount of β = 0,523 p = 0,000 (p<0,05).
