Abstract

Vocational High School 3 Pekanbaru is a school that is qualified in tourism and technology. Status as a favorite school that has many achievements to be one of its own motivation for public relations to do its Public relations activities in school. The out line of the result in this research of main activity of public relations in Vocational high school 3 Pekanbaru is as 1. Communicator. 2. Relationship. 3. Backup management dan 4. Good image maker. Public relations activities at Vocational High School 3 Pekanbaru in an effort to improve the school reputation at the start of build a good school identity that requires good cooperation from all the citizens of the school then seeks to build a positive image of the views of society and also from companies that work with schools and then build a good reputation that must be in line with both. This research uses qualitative research method with descriptive approach that gives situation picture to get data based on observation result in research location and technique used are interview, observation, documentation and photo usage. After the data collected and then processed and compiled through recording, typing, editing and analysis and then summarized after the results of research at the study site. The results show that public relations activities in an effort to improve the school's reputation are quite effective with some activities and work programs that run on target and can minimize the possibility that can reduce the reputation of the school.
