Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of competency on the performance of civil servants at the Dumai City Tourism, Youth and Sports Office. The sample in the study amounted to 33 employees using the census method, the data was processed using IBM SPSS 23.0 as a research analysis tool. This study uses descriptive methods and simple linear regression analysis. Based on the results of the study showed that the variable competence has a significant and positive effect on the performance of civil servants at the Dumai City Tourism and Sports Office.
