Abstract

This study aims to determine the perception of students of SMP Negeri 1 Kuok in watching cigarette ads sampoerna green version of a fun friend on television. Each student has a different perception of the cigarette advertisement aired on the television. This research uses perception theory which looked at 3 aspects, namely sensation, attention and interpretation. The method used in this research is qualitative research method descriptive approach. And this research also use data collecting technique that is interview, observation, and documentation. In the research results, the sensation felt by the students is quite clear to see the message contained in the ad sampoerna cigarette green version of a fun friend, so that students get ideas and solutions and generate inspiration when bored when the lights. Then the attention of students in the ad that gives creativity when demonstrating a shadow through the car lights. As for the interpretation aspect, there are similarities and differences of perception about the advertisement, that is, some students said this ad is interesting because it displays some students' imagination to creativity using car lights and spotlights. The conclusion in this research is that the perception that happened to ad sampoerna version of a cool friend almost the same in watching Ads version of a cool friend ". This ad is viewed by the students as something important, positive, and beneficial for them in improving the creativity that is in the students. But for the entire ad itself, all the informants thought that the cigarette commercials of a friend's version of a fun version of green had been pretty good and creative for the audience who saw the ad.
