Abstract

The novel has relevance to character education, as in Anak Overseas novels. This novel is an educational novel that can be used as learning about character education, then the problem formulation in this study are: To find out the values ​​of character education contained in the novel Rantau Anak by Ahmad Fuadi to find out the relevance of the values ​​of character education in the Rantau Anak novel Ahmad Fuadi's work with the practice of education in Indonesia. This research is a library research, while in collecting data as the main object of analysis is the novel Overseas Children. Data collection is done by collecting the necessary data sources, then reading the data sources while providing code and finally making a synopsis. Analysis of the data used in this thesis is content analysis, and from this analysis conclusions are drawn. The results of the study concluded that: The values ​​of character education contained in the novel Rantau Anak include: The values ​​of character education in relation to God Almighty consist of religious, the values ​​of character education in relation to oneself consist of honest, responsibility answer, work hard, be disciplined, be creative, be independent, be curious and enjoy reading, Character Education Values ​​in relation to others consist of valuing achievement, democratic, social care and friendship / communication,
