Abstract

Professional teachers certainly don't just use textbooks. Teacher also has a perception whether the material is suitable, whether the method is suitable, whether the media is relevant, supporting and so on. Teacher's perception of the use of textbooks is not the same, this is due to human nature itself which has differences between individuals who are individuals the same is true for Indonesian Language Teachers at Ukui Sub-District Middle School Pelalawan Kabuaten has a perception of Indonesian language textbooks published by Erlangga. The problem in this research is how is perception Class VIII Teacher of Ukui Sub-District Middle School Pelalawan District Against Indonesian Textbook Material Erlangga Issue? With the aim of research to collect data, describe, analyze, and interpret information about "Class VIII Teacher's Perception of the District Junior High School Ukui Pelalawan Regency Against Language Textbook Material Indonesia Issues Erlangga ". The method used in this study is description method with a quantitative approach. Theory used in this research is using a theory about Text Book Writing at Masnur Muslich said and used the theory of Book Studies The Indonesian text, which Henry Guntur Tarigan said. The results of the study concluded that (1) Conformity of material with KI and KD, i.e. completeness of material in terms of scope, material breadth, and depth material. The highest answer is good as many as 33 (58.9%) respondents. (2) The accuracy of the material, namely the accuracy of the presentation of concepts, compilation of theories, examples and facts, clarity of examples, and presentation of questions. The answer the highest is good as many as 28 (57.1%) respondents. (3) Supporting material, namely developments in science and technology, current events and conditions, solutions problems, material benefits, ideas, values ​​that apply in life everyday, material attractiveness, encourages students to find information breadth of material. The highest answer is good as many as 35 (46.7%) respondents. Thus, the perceptions of class VIII teachers at the SMPN sub-district are in the UK Pelalawan District on published Indonesian textbook material the highest category is "Good" (51-75).
