Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the Interest of Students Putra And Putri Learning Physical Education Branch Athletics in SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru Tenayan Raya District Academic Year 2016/2017. This type of research is descriptive. The population in this study are students of sons and daughters of SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru Tenayan Raya District Academic Year 2016/2017. The sampling technique used simple random sampling as much as 10% of the total population. So the sample in this study amounted to 101 male and female students. The instrument used is a questionnaire with Likert scale. Based on the result of the research, it can be concluded that this research is: the interest of male and female students to the learning of physical education athletic branch at SMA Negeri 6 Pekanbaru Tenayan Raya District Academic Year 2016/2017 including 61-80% value range or in strong category with percentage equal to 74.53%.
