Abstract
This research aims to find comparison of learning biology between the class which implement Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) with the class which implement Numbered Heads Together (NHT) using handout media of grade VII SMP Negeri 4 Siak Hulu school year 2016/2017, Analyze the occurrence of environmental pollution and its impact on the ecosystem. Sampling was conducted based on the homogeny test of pre-test score. From two classes of homogeneous then selected randomly to determine Experimental class X1 and Experimental class X2, so class VII2 elected as experiment X1 and class VII4 as experiment X2. t-test data analyzed shown that thitung (2,31) > ttabel (2,00) with dk = 70 and extent α = 0,05, so H0 rejected and H1 accepted. Based on the analysis of data descriptive obtained an average of learning outcomes of students’ post-test, class experiment X₁ = 79,40 and class experiment X₂ = 86,15. Thus it can be concluded that there are differences biology is learning outcomes between the class which implement Two Stay Two Stray (TSTS) with the class which implement Numbered Heads Together (NHT) using handout media of grade VII SMP Negeri 4 Siak Hulu school year 2016/2017.
