Abstract
This research aims to improve the students’ learning outcomes on biology by applying cooperative learning Jigsaw II type by using modules at students VIIID class of SMP 4 Tambang academic years of 2016/2017. The subject of this research were totally 28 students, they were 13 males and 15 females student. This research was Classroom Action Research ( CAR). The measured parameter was cognitive Research Achievement (CRA) and Scientific performance. The technique of analyzing data was descriptive analyzing. The result of analyzing data divided in two cycles that consisted of ten meetings, CRA was obtained absorption of students increased by CAR 77,46% after the first cycle CAR 79,02% and an increase 5,85% after CAR cycle II 84,87%. Mastery learning students before CAR 64% increased to 67,8% after CAR first cycle and the second cycle increased to 92,8%. Scientific performance absorptive capacity of students increased by 2,03% from the prior CAR 76,50% after the first cycle CAR 78,53% and increased by 28% after the second cycle CAR 83,56%. Mastery learning Scientific performance before CAR students 57% increased to 68% after CAR first cycle and the second cycle increased to 96%. Based on the result of this research, it could be concluded that the Application Of Cooperative Learning Jigsaw II Type Using Module could improve the students’ result on Biology of VIIID class at SMP Negeri 4 Tambang.
