Abstract
This research a’ims to improve the Biology learning result of the students of VII4 SMPN 1 Dayun, academic 2017/2018 by applicated the Problem Based Learning. Research held at 20th March to 08th Mei 2018 in class VII4 SMPN 1 Dayun. The research sample are of 25 students consisted of with 14 male (CAR) and 11 female students. This research is Classroom Action Research. The parameter measured are student cognitive learning outcomes consist of absorption and mastery learning students which is reflect of individual mastery and classical mastery. Data analisted use descriptive. The measured research showed that there was an increase in absorbability of the students before the Classroom Action Research was 69% and it increased in cycle I to 78,43% and in cycle II became 83,98%. The classical completeness of student’s PPK score before the Classroom Action Research was 52%, increased in 1 st cycle 76% and in 2nd cycle reacked 96%. Based on the result of this research, can be concluded that the application of Problem Based Learning can improve the cognitive learning result of students grade VII4 SMPN 1 Dayun, academic year 2017/2018.
