Abstract
The Hangover movie is a film that has many examples of a range of spoken language. The hangover is an American comedy film released in 2009. The hangover is the funniest comedy western. Objective of the research is to find out types of conversational and contexts of situation of each utterance contains conversational implicature used in “Hangover” movie script. The method in this research was qualitative method that describes and qualifies the imlpicature and translation method which were used in Hangover film. The instrument of this research is documentation and script of Hangover film that help researchers in collecting data or information by reading the letter, announcements meeting, a written statement of specific policies and other writing. The data were analyzed based on the following steps reading and analyzing movie script, selecting the conversational implicature on a movie script, collecting the conversational implicature on manuscript, describing and analyzing the conversational implicature and socio-cultural background on movie script and building the conclusion and suggestions based on data analysis.
