Abstract

This study aims at identifing empowerment of UMKM in Pekanbaru City done by UMKM cooperative service in Pekanbaru city. In improving the quality of UMKM and inhibiting faktors and problems that occur in yhe empowerment of UMKM in the city of Pekanbaru. Empowerment should be done with coaching and business development and maintaning th growth of business climate. This research with survey dikriptif research with quantitative method which omplemented in service of UMKM coorporative of Pekanbaru city, researcher use puposive sampling technique, writer collect data by interview and quistioner. In the stages of coaching and business development activities under taken are theproduction and processing that must coordinate, the marketing of UMKM products to increase production of UMKM, improve human resouces conducted with way training and educating for businessman, and than design and technology. Inthe stage of business climate growth activities that must be done is easy access capital and capital resources, keseterdian advice and infrastructure support quality, extensive market information, partnership with usha agencies, the isuance of business license serta product promotion.The constraint of empowerment among them is the problemschedule that is not in accordance with teh planned. Required programs that are based on teknology and informations to improve the quality of UMKM and in need of coordination and communication of all partisies namely goverment, business entites, perpetrators UMKM, and paguyuban
