Abstract

This research was carried out in Dinas Lingkungan Hidup. The purpose of this study was to determine the Competency of Employee in Dinas Lingkungan Hidup. To find out more clearly, the researcher uses 4 research indicators, namely Knowledge, Skill, Behavior, Experience. The type of research used is Descriptive Survey with Quantitative research where the writer will describe the actual situation of what happened at the research location by collecting, identifying, and developing the facts that exist to express the complete objective conditions about the object under study. The sampling technique in this study was using census method, that is the entire population is sampled with a sampel of 45people. The data in this study consisted of primary data and secondary data. Primary data was collected using questionnaire and interview techniques and secondary data collected using observation techniques. While the data analysis technique used it to use a frequency table tool. Based on the analysis tecnique, the researcher assesses and concludes that employee competency analysis on Dinas Lingkungan Hidup at the assessment interval is quite competent. The competency of employee who have high academic education will be different from those of employee with low academic education which will affect their work, because the work in Dinas Lingkungan Hidup Kabupaten Kuantan Singingi is more to technical work that requires technical competency of its employee.
