Abstract
This research aims to know the relation of burnout towards psychological well-being of PT. PLN’s (persero) employees in Riau and Kepri (Kepuauan Riau). The subjects of this research are employees of PT. PLN (persero) in Riau and Kepri as many as 95 subjects. Technic used in choosing the subjects is random sampling. The measuring instrument for burnout used in this research is Maslach Burnout Inventory-Human Services Survey (MBI-HSS) which have 50 items in its scale. While for the Psychology Well-being measuring instrument used in this research is Ryff Scales of Psychological Well-Being (RPWB ) which consists of 54 items. The analysis used in this research is the correlation of product moment by using program. The result of the statistical analysis have shown that there is a significant negative relation of burnout towards psychological well-being with correlation coefficient R =-0,435.,< 0,05. This shows that there is a very significant negative relation of burnout towards psychological well-being. The higher the burnout felt by employees accordingly the lower the psychological well-being felt by employees. Thus, organizations, especially in the field of Human Resources (HR), must observe the skills of the employees to be able to give proper job description to employees. Also to give a socialization regarding problem solving that happens in work place to raise employees’ level of performance.
