Abstract

ABSTRACT This research is motivated by several things, namely (1) Seeing the many aspects of literary psychology in the collection of drama scripts Teater Satu by Iswadi Pratama. (2) So far, research on drama scripts has not been done much. Even in the UIR environment, especially FKIP, research has never been conducted on drama scripts that use literary psychology theory, this is due to the tendency of the public to understand and recognize drama through performances compared to the drama script itself. The problem described in this study is how is the character's personality structure related to the id, ego and superego in the drama play Teater Satu by Iswadi Pratama? The theory that the writer uses to analyze this research is Sigmund Freud's theory. The approach used is a qualitative approach, the type of research used is literature study. The method used is descriptive method, the data analysis technique used is content analysis techniques. The results showed that there are id, ego and superego in the collection of drama scripts Teater Satu Karya Iswadi Pratama. The most dominant aspect in literary psychology is the personality structure of the ego. Meanwhile, the id and superego structures have a balanced character. Although there is a balance of the character's personality structure in the script. However, this does not guarantee that the characters will not experience conflicts. The conflict that occurs in the character causes the character to always be in a state of war within him, restless, restless, depressed, etc. However, these characters still show a natural character.
