Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of true story shows on Indosiar on the behavior of housewives in Sungai Tengah Village, Sabak Auh District. The subjects in this study were housewives, while the object of this study was the broadcast of true stories in Indosiar and housewives. In this study, researchers used a quantitative approach to obtain research data. The population in this study, namely mothers aged 20-44 years who were married, amounted to 397 people, using accidental sampling techniques, totaling 80 samples. Data collection techniques in research using questionnaires and documentation. Based on the results of research and data analysis that has been carried out, it can be concluded that there is a significant effect of real story soap operas on the attitude of housewives in Sungai Tengah Village, Sabak Auh District. These results are based on the value of r arithmetic > r table both at a significant level of 5% or (0.220 < 0.458> 0.220) which means Ho is rejected, Ha is accepted. This means that the better the Real Story shows, the better the changes in the behavior of housewives. The magnitude of the regression coefficient of the significant influence of true story shows on housewives in Sungai Tengah Village, Sabak Auh District is 0.595 which indicates that the significant effect of true story shows on housewives in Sungai Tengah Village, Sabak Auh District. While the rest are influenced or explained by other variables not included in this study, such as educational background, title of family environment, community environment, and so on.
