Abstract

The purpose of this study is to improve the learning outcomes of Biology students of class VIII 8 with the implementation (Guided Inqury) learning conducted on February 27, 2018 until April 17, 2018 with the number 31 male students. This research is Classroom Action Research (CAR). Parameters measured are the results of student learning in the from of absorption and mastery student learning consisting of individual and classical mastery. Data analysis was done descriptively to know the absorption valuo of cognitive and KI value. Absorption value of students before completeness of 74.23% CAR increased I 76.77% I cycle and in cycle II increased again to 85.61%. The classical completeness of value before CAR 32,26% increased in cycle I 74,19% and in cyle II increased again to 93.55%. Absorption of student KI scor before CAR 75.65% increased in cycle I 78.87% and in cycle II increased again to 84.81%. the classical completeness of the students KI score before the 64. 52% CAR increases in cycle I of 83.87% and in cycle II increases again to 93.55% . it can be concluded that the implementation of Guided Inquiry Learning can improve the learning outcomes of students of class VIII 8 MTsN 1 Pekanbaru Academic Year 2017-2018.
