Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of paternalistic leadership style and compensation on employee work effectiveness in convection companies in Pekanbaru City. This study uses quantitative research. The data collection technique uses questionnaires. The sample in this study consisted of 83 employees from the convection companies CV. Surya Pelangi, Konveksi Skala, and Konveksi Mesra. This study used Partial Least Squares (PLS) data analysis. The results showed that paternalistic leadership style, compensation, and motivation had a significant effect on employee work effectiveness. Paternalistic leadership style significantly affects effectiveness through motivation. Compensation significantly affects work effectiveness through motivation. Motivation significantly moderates the influence of paternalistic leadership style and compensation on employee work effectiveness.
