Abstract
The dynamic lifestyle of modern society and the increasing demand for practical and hygienic access to drinking water have encouraged the development of innovative water distribution systems. One of the main challenges is to create a system that enables efficient, accurate, and low-intervention water dispensing. To address this issue, this research proposes a prototype of an Internet of Things (IoT)- based drinking water dispensing system integrated with components such as a keypad, water pump, solenoid valve, water flow sensor, and NodeMCU microcontroller. Users can input the desired volume of water via the keypad and confirm by pressing the # button, after which the system automatically processes the command. The flow sensor precisely measures the volume of water dispensed, and all transaction data is sent to a server and displayed on a web dashboard. This system is designed to record water usage in real-time, improve dispensing efficiency, and provide accurate data for consumption analysis and resource management. The test results indicate that the system operates reliably and accurately records water volume and transaction time. With this system, drinking water distribution is expected to become more transparent, efficient, and automated.
