Abstract

This study aims to examine the effect of leadership style and compensation on the performance of production employees at PTPN IV Regional 3 West District (Sei Intan). This research is motivated by the failure to optimally achieve production targets and the presence of employee discipline issues, which are assumed to be related to leadership and compensation factors. The research method used is a quantitative method with descriptive and verificative approaches. The data were collected through questionnaires distributed to all 91 production employees using a saturated sampling (census) technique. The collected data were analyzed using validity and reliability tests, classical assumption tests, multiple linear regression analysis, and hypothesis testing both partially and simultaneously. The results indicate that leadership style has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, compensation has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, and leadership style and compensation simultaneously have a positive and significant effect on the performance of production employees at PTPN IV Regional 3 West District (Sei Intan).
