Abstract

Sungai Meranti Village is known For its peatlands, and pineapple is a fruit that is very suitable for peatlands. This study aims to: 1) Characteristics of farmers and pineapple farming profiles, 2) Production costs gross income, net income, and farming efficiency, 3) Factors influencing pineapple production. This study was counducted for 6 months, starting from September 2025 to February 2026, located in Sungai Meranti Village, Pinggir District, Bengkalis Regency. The location was selected purposively, with a sample of 50 farmers selected using simple random sampling. The data used were primary and secondary data. The production function used was the cobb Douglas Function. The data analysis used is descriptive analysis used is descriptive analysis, farming analysis and multiple non-linear regression analysis. The results of the study show thst: (1) The characteristics of pineapple farmers in sungai Meranti Village are an average age of 44 years, meaning they are of productive age, the average length of farmer education is 9 years (junior high School), the average farming experience is 5 years. While the pineapple farming business profile includes a land areal of 2,67 Ha, land status is Self-Owned, farmers do not have a business permit, the average business permit, the average business permit, the average business capital is IDR 19.272,800, production is 19,862 kg/ Grapan/ MT and productivity is 7,170 Kg/Ha/ MT.(2) The gross income obtained by pineapple farmers in Sungai Meranti Village is IDR 28.784,000, net income is IDR 21.350,465, RCR (Revenue Cost Ratio) is 3.89, meaning that pineapple farming in Sungai Meranti Village is feasible to be pursued. (3) The factors that significantly influence pineapple production in Sungai Meranti Village are land area, seeds, urea fertilizer and KCL fertilizer. Meanwhile,labor, pesticides, and flower stimulants/ ANNA pills do not significantly influence pineapple production in Sungai Meranti Village.
