Abstract

his research aims to determine the implementation of the village head's duties in developing community institutions in Air Jamban Village, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency. The task implementation assessment indicators used include counseling, direction and guidance. This type of research uses qualitative methods, namely research that is taken from phenomena about what is experienced by research subjects by means of descriptions in the form of arguments based on field data. Types and sources of data in this research are primary data and secondary data obtained through interviews, observation and documentation with the focus of this research being the implementation of the village head's duties in developing community institutions in Air Jamban Village, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency involving the Head of Air Jamban Village. There are two groups of key informants and informants, namely 1 key informant and 13 informants. The sampling technique used in determining the sample individuals (key informants and informants) was purposive sampling, namely taking into account that the designated informants knew and understood the problems and objectives of the research. The types and techniques of data collection used consist of primary data collected using interviews and secondary data collected using observation techniques. Meanwhile, the data analysis technique used in this research is using qualitative information which is supportive in explaining the research results, then analyzed using descriptive qualitative methods. Based on this analysis technique, the researcher assessed and concluded that the implementation of the village head's duties in developing community institutions in Air Jamban Village, Mandau District, Bengkalis Regency has been carried out optimally. Even though it is running optimally, there are still weaknesses in the community, namely: the community is less enthusiastic in carrying out coaching activities, the government and subdistrict employees are still less active in carrying out coaching activities.
