Abstract

This study aims to develop Canva-based animated video media on food and the digestive system for high school/MA students. This study is classified as development research (development research). Development research is a research method that aims to produce specific products and test the validity and effectiveness of these products in their application using the Plomp development model. The Plomp model is a development model that emphasizes intensive interaction with the research subjects, starting from understanding the research object to identifying problems related to the product in that object. This model consists of three main stages, namely the preliminary phase, the prototyping phase, and the assessment phase. This study aims to determine the validity and practicality of Canva-based animated videos on food and the digestive system for 11th grade high school/MA students. The data collection instruments used included student and teacher interview sheets, observation sheets, needs questionnaires, self-evaluation sheets, validation sheets, and practicality test questionnaires (one-to-one evaluation test, small group test, and field test). The sampling technique used was cluster sampling. The results of media expert validation obtained a percentage of 89.29% with a category of highly valid. The results of material expert validation obtained a percentage of 93.75% with a category of highly valid, and the results of learning expert validation obtained a percentage of 97.57% with a category of highly valid. The practicality results showed an average percentage of 91.05% with a category of highly practical. In conclusion, the Canva-based animated video media on food and the food digestion system for high school/MA is valid and practical.
