Abstract

Green Open Space (GSP) plays a vital role in maintaining ecological balance and providing social space for the community. However, its use by street vendors (PKL) often creates a dilemma between economic activity and public comfort. This study aims to analyze the influence of street vendor activities on public comfort levels in the Tunjuk Ajar Integritas Open Space. The research method used was descriptive quantitative with a deductive approach. Data collection was conducted through field observations, questionnaires, and documentation. The population in this study was all visitors and vendors at the Tunjuk Ajar Integritas Green Open Space (RTH Tunjuk Ajar Integritas), with a sample size of 100 respondents determined using the Lemeshow formula. The independent variables consisted of the nature of service, trading facilities, type of merchandise, and service time, while the dependent variable was the level of public comfort. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression with the aid of SPSS version 27. The analysis results indicate that street vendor activities simultaneously have a significant effect on the level of public comfort, with a calculated F-value of 624.893 and a significance level of 0.000 (<0.05). Partially, the variables of the nature of service, trading facilities, and service time significantly influence visitor comfort. Conversely, the variable of type of merchandise has no significant effect, having a significance value of 0.281 (>0.05). These findings indicate that orderly and regulated management of street vendor activities is essential to maintaining visitor comfort and the balance of the social and ecological functions of the RTH area.
