Abstract
The foundation is the lower structural component of a building that functions to safely and stably transfer loads from the upper structure to the underlying soil. If the foundation is unable to support the loads acting above it, settlement may occur, which can endanger the upper structure. This study focuses on the analysis of piled foundations in the construction project of a Hospital Building in Pekanbaru, specifically reviewing Pile Cap P64. The objective of this research is to calculate the bearing capacity of the pile foundation and the settlement that occurs using SPT values. The analysis was carried out based on Standard Penetration Test (SPT) data from borehole points BH.01 to a depth of 20 meters. The soil conditions at the site are dominated by sand and fine sand layers with medium to very dense consistency. The bearing capacity of the pile foundation to resist the design load was calculated using the Meyerhof and Luciano Decourt methods, while the settlement analysis was performed using the Vesic method. The bearing capacity and settlement calculations were conducted at every 2 m depth interval up to 20 m depth. The results show that the bearing capacity of the pile foundation using the Meyerhof method at a depth of 8 m is 23,814.33 kN and reaches a maximum of 32,713.05 kN at a depth of 20 m. Using the Luciano Decourt method, the bearing capacity at a depth of 6 m has already reached 26,788.46 kN, with a maximum value of 96,384.06 kN at a depth of 20 m. Meanwhile, the settlement of the pile foundation calculated using the Vesic method for a single pile ranges from 3 to 5 mm, and the group pile settlement ranges from 14 to 25 mm from depths of 2 m to 20 m. However, the observed settlement is still below the allowable settlement limit of 30 mm.
