Abstract

This study was motivated by the fact that customer preferences in choosing mudharabah deposits were not only determined by the profit-sharing ratio, but were also influenced by preferences for benefits, a sense of fairness in profit sharing, and the level of trust in the bank's fund management in accordance with Sharia principles. The study aimed to determine customer preferences in choosing mudharabah deposit product at Bank Riau Kepri Syariah of Siak Kandis. The data collection techniques of the study were observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis techniques of the study were data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. This study found that the customers perceived the profitsharing system at Bank Riau Kepri Syariah of Siak Kandis as sufficiently transparent and fair, despite the fluctuating returns depending on the bank's profitability. Furthermore, trust in the bank as a trustworthy and professional institution, was a key factor driving customers to choose mudharabah deposit product although the value of profit sharing was inconsistent.
