Abstract

This study aims to determine the implementation of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) function in Sikijang Village, Logas Tanah Darat District, Kuantan Singingi Regency. The assessment indicators used include Coordination (coordination), Motivation (motivating), and Direction. This study uses a qualitative approach. Data collection techniques used in this study are Interviews, Observation, and Documentation. Informants in this study consisted of the BPD of Sikijang Village, the Head of Sikijang Village, the Secretary of Sikijang Village, the Head of Sikijang Village Government, and the Sikijang Village Community. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the Village Consultative Body (BPD) function in Sikijang Village, Logas Tanah Darat District, Kuantan Singingi Regency is running well, but still needs improvement in the aspects of training and infrastructure. This is because the BPD there does not have adequate training and incomplete infrastructure, although in general its functions are already running, including the legislative function, collecting aspirations, and supervision. The implementation of the BPD function in Sikijang Village involves several stages, starting from extracting, collecting, managing, to channeling these aspirations to relevant parties, especially the village government.
