Abstract
The importance of implementing discipline in elementary schools as a foundation for developing responsible and orderly student behavior in learning activities. The purpose of this study is to describe teacher strategies in implementing discipline in students at SD Negeri 23 Mandau. This study used a qualitative approach with a Special Study method. The research subjects included teachers and students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation techniques, then analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results showed that teachers implemented several strategies in instilling discipline, including role model strategies, habituation strategies, reward and reprimand strategies, and participatory strategies through class agreement-making. Supporting factors for the implementation of these strategies include collaboration between teachers, students, and parents, while inhibiting factors include low student awareness and the influence of the environment outside of school. It can be concluded that teacher strategies in implementing discipline in students at SD Negeri 23 Mandau have been effective and have had a positive influence on student behavior at school.
