Abstract
New non-commissioned officers are usually required to adjust to the environment with various different backgrounds. Peers have an important role in the lives of new noncommissioned officers, such as in education, a friend usually helps us in the learning process, does assignments together, provides advice, and also support. The purpose of this study was to determine the Relationship Between Peer Social Support and SelfAdjustment in New Non-Commissioned Officers of the Riau Police. The population was 118 Non-Commissioned Officers Class of 2024 with a saturated sampling technique. The self-adjustment scale used was compiled by Rovika (2021) which was adapted by Puri (2022). The self-adjustment scale consists of 30 items with a reliability value of 0.858. Peer social support was measured using a measuring instrument adapted from Puri (2022) which consists of 34 items. Based on the results of the study, it is known that the correlation coefficient between peer social support and self-adjustment is (r) = .421 and the significant value is known to be 0.000 <0.05. This proves that there is a positive relationship between peer social support and self-adjustment. This means that the higher the peer social support, the higher the level of self-adjustment of Bintara Rantau, Faculty of Psychology, Riau Islamic University. Likewise, the lower the peer social support, the lower the level of self-adjustment of Bintara Polda Riau.
