Abstract

Research entitled "The Effect of Boiler Chicken Eggshells and Mycorrhizal Fertilizer on the Growth and Production of Purple Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.)". The purpose of this research is to determine the interaction effect and the main effect of Boiler Chicken Eggshells and Mycorrhizal Fertilizer on the Growth and Production of Purple Eggplant (Solanum melongena L.). This research was conducted at the Experimental Garden of the Faculty of Agriculture, Riau Islamic University. Jl. Kaharuddin Nasution KM 113, Air Dingin Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru City, Riau. The research was conducted for four months, from September to December 2024. (Attachment 1). This research used a factorial Completely Randomized Design, consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is Eggshells (C) which consists of 4 treatment levels. The second factor is Mycorrhiza (M) which consists of 4 treatment levels of 0, 40, 60, 80 g per plant and the second factor is the dose of Mycorrhiza with treatments of 0, 15, 20, 25 g per plant so that 16 treatment combinations are obtained. Each treatment combination has 3 replications so that the experiment consists of 48 plots. Each plot has 4 plants and 2 plants are used as observation samples which are randomly determined in each plot. Overall, the number of purple eggplant plants used is 192 plants. Based on the results of the research that has been done, it can be concluded that the interaction of chicken eggshells and mycorrhizal fertilizer is significant on plant height, flowering age, harvest age, fruit weight per plant, fruit weight per fruit and the number of remaining fruits. Where the best treatment is chicken eggshells 80 g / plot and Mycorrhiza 25 g / plant (C3M3). The main effect of chicken eggshells is significant on all observation parameters. The best treatment is chicken eggshells 80 g / plot (C3). The main effect of mycorrhizal fertilizer was significant on all observed parameters, with the best treatment being 25 g of mycorrhizal fertilizer per plant.
