Abstract

This study aims to design and build a Geographic Information System (GIS) based on Android mobile that can map the location of health facilities in Pangkalan Kerinci City interactively and easily accessible to the public. This application presents information on the location of hospitals, health centers, clinics, and pharmacies in the form of a digital map equipped with GPS features to facilitate searching and determining the fastest route to health facilities. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through interviews, direct observation, and needs analysis. The application development process considers the functional and non-functional aspects needed by users. The implementation results show that the application successfully displays interactive maps, health facility locations, and detailed information and routes in real-time via Android devices. Based on the results of the questionnaire given to the public, a satisfaction index value of 84.5% was obtained, indicating that the majority of respondents strongly agree with the usefulness and ease of use of this application. This GIS application has proven to be able to provide innovative solutions in facilitating access to health service information, especially in areas with a wide distribution of facilities such as Pangkalan Kerinci City.
