Abstract
The Internet of Things (IoT)-based weather monitoring system is designed to monitor environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, air pressure, and wind speed in real-time to display rainfall levels. The problem addressed in this study is the limitation of conventional weather monitoring systems that cannot provide fast and accurate local data. This study aims to design an IoT-based weather monitoring system integrated with the ESP32 microcontroller, DHT11, BMP280, and anemometer sensors, and to apply the Tsukamoto fuzzy logic method for rainfall status levels. The measured data is transmitted via the MQTT protocol to a server and displayed on a website platform. The fuzzy logic method was chosen for its ability to process uncertain input data and produce output in the form of rainfall categories: low, medium, high, or very high. The test results show that the system performs well in monitoring environmental conditions, stably transmitting data, and providing rainfall status outputs that match actual field conditions. This research contributes by producing a real-time IoT-based weather monitoring system that can be used for early warning and decision-making related to disaster mitigation or other weather-based activities.
