Abstract

Based on data from the Central Statistics Agency of South Labuhanbatu Regency in 2024, Kotapinang District has the largest number of facilities in South Labuhanbatu Regency, as many as 828 units. The number of facilities is very different from other districts in South Labuhanbatu Regency, including Torgamba District which has 670 facilities, Sungai Kanan District which has 549 facilities, Kampung Rakyat District which has 389 facilities, and Silangkitang District which has 184 facilities. The purpose of this study is to examine the fulfillment of residential facilities in South Labuhanbatu Regency so that this evaluation can provide direction and development so that the need for facilities in South Labuhanbatu Regency is sufficient. The approach in this research is deductive. This research is classified as a deductive approach because the researcher examines general problems based on testing a theory consisting of variables. The level of adequacy of settlement facilities in South Labuhanbatu Regency that have not been met, including government facilities and public services in South Labuhanbatu Regency, there are still facilities that have not been met, namely the Police Office/Koramil with a carrying capacity value (DDFi) of 0.71, educational facilities in South Labuhanbatu Regency, there are still facilities that have not been met, namely TK/RA with a carrying capacity value (DDFi) of 0.57, and trade facilities in South Labuhanbatu Regency, there are still facilities that have not been met, namely Shops/Stalls with a carrying capacity value (DDFi) of 0.72, Shops with a carrying capacity value (DDFi) of 0.29, and Trade Centers with a carrying capacity value (DDFi) of 0.71. In 2026-2030, it is expected that there will be an increase in the need for settlement facilities in South Labuhanbatu Regency whose availability has not been met, including government facilities and public services, educational facilities, health facilities, places of worship, and trade facilities.
