Abstract

Therefore, special attention is needed in work safety, both for the government, the company, and the workforce itself. The main problem inthis studyis How is the LegalProtectionfor Workers Who Experience Work Accidents at Gasdom Regional Pekanbaru and What are the Obstacles in Obtaining Legal Protection for Workers Who Experience Work Accidents at Gasdom Regional Pekanbaru. The method in this study is an empirical legal research method, namely research conducted by going directly to the field to obtain information and data through interviews. While the nature of the research is descriptive analytical, namely this research presents a clear, detailed and systematic picture of the problems to be studied. Basedontheresultsofthestudy,itcanbeunderstoodthatlegalprotection for workers who experience work accidents at Gasdom Regional Pekanbaru has not been running optimally. Although some workers have been registered in the BPJS Employment program, there is still ignorance of workers regarding their legal rights, lack of socialization from the company, and the absence of special legal assistance. This shows the need to improve the legal protection system and education for all workers so that their rights can be fulfilled fairly and comprehensively. Obstacles in obtaining legal protection for workers who experience work accidents in Gasdom Regional Pekanbaru are caused by several factors, including the lack of understanding of workers regarding their legal rights, unequal participation in the BPJS Ketenagakerjaan program, minimal socialization from companies, and the unavailability of adequate legal assistance. In addition, complicated administrative procedures also hinder optimal access to legal protection for workers.
