Abstract

Social Corporate Responsibility (CSR) is an important topic of debate nowadays. Most of these issues stem from the size and impact of modern corporations. Some companies are larger than others, and their influence is widespread globally. Their activities can determine the well-being of communities and the health of the environment. Corporate social responsibility has been regulated in Indonesia since the 1990s, although in some cases, there are still shortcomings in its implementation. Based on the above description, the author is interested in researching how the regulation of Corporate Social Responsibility is managed in Indonesia and how the implementation of Corporate Social Responsibility is carried out in PT. Bina Sawit Nusantara. The research method used in this study includes observational or research studies since the author conducted direct research at the study location to obtain the necessary information and data for this scientific research. As this research is descriptive in nature, it provides a clear and detailed overview of what the author has learned about the corporate social responsibility of PT. Bina Sawit Nusantara. Based on the research findings, it can be concluded that Corporate Social Responsibility in Indonesia started to develop around the 1990s and has become more effectively implemented by companies with the enactment of Law No. 40 of 2007 concerning Limited Liability Companies, specifically Article 74. The regulation on Corporate Social Responsibility in Indonesia is also governed by Law No. 25 of 2007 concerning Investment. As for the implementation of corporate social responsibility programs carried out by PT. Bina Sawit Nusantara, they are in accordance with the applicable regulations, although there are still challenges and shortcomings in their implementation.
