Abstract

Petapahan Jaya Road plays a crucial role in people's daily mobility. It also serves as a vital route connecting sub-districts in Kampar, provinces, and regencies, and serves as a route for residents to reach their gardens. Therefore, this section of road needs to be technically tested for its suitability to meet standards to determine whether it is fit for operation. The purpose of this study was to determine the suitability of Petapahan Jaya Road, determine the star rating of the Petapahan Jaya Road, and propose recommendations if the road does not meet the roadworthiness criteria. The method used is based on the Regulation of the Minister of Public Works and Public Housing of the Republic of Indonesia no. 06/P/BM/2024 concerning technical instructions for roadworthiness tests with star ratings. The results of the analysis of the roadworthiness test on the Petapahan Jaya road section still do not meet the applicable standards by obtaining a star rating score (SRS) of 35.59 in the 1 Star category. After obtaining the results of the data analysis, it can be concluded that the Petapahan Jaya road section has the highest risk category for traffic accidents so that this road section is not suitable for operation by road users.
