Abstract

In construction projects, building construction is an activity with a very high risk of work accidents. In general, the construction process is fraught with hazards, resulting in the construction industry having a poor record in terms of occupational safety and health. These issues typically arise at the operational level of construction, related to the use of PPE in the field. The purpose of this study was to determine potential hazards, risk levels, and workplace accident control measures in reinforced concrete structure work using the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method. The method used in this study was the Job Safety Analysis (JSA) method, which involved distributing questionnaires to workers on the Pelita Indonesia Sport Hall construction project. Based on the results of the research conducted on the Pelita Indonesia Sport Hall construction project, it was found that there are four main stages in the implementation of reinforced concrete structure work: reinforcement work, scaffolding dismantling and installation, formwork dismantling and installation, and concrete pouring. A total of 28 potential work risks were identified throughout the entire work process. These risks were classified based on their severity and likelihood of occurrence, resulting in a risk level category of 4 with a high risk, 11 with a moderate risk, and 13 with a low risk. This classification uses a risk matrixbased risk assessment method. Workplace accident control efforts, including Job Safety Analysis (JSA), involve the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as helmets, safety shoes, goggles, work gloves, back support belts, and fullbody harnesses.
