Abstract

The execution of construction projects requires accurate planning and scheduling to ensure that the work is completed on time. However, in practice, discrepancies often occur between the planned schedule and actual field implementation, resulting in project delays. This study aims to determine the total project duration using the Line of Balance (LoB) method and to compare its efficiency with the S-Curve method. The object of this research is the construction project of Pebatuan Cipta Residence II housing, type 36/101 m², which features repetitive work across multiple housing units. The analysis results show that the Line of Balance method produces a total project duration of 273 working days, while the S-Curve method results in 490 working days. The 217 day difference demonstrates that the LoB method is more efficient in managing repetitive construction activities. Furthermore, this method allows for a more optimal and structured division of labor, thereby improving overall project execution effectiveness.
