Abstract

his study aims to explore and analyze the psychological well-being of students engaged in the process of completing their thesis during the COVID-19 pandemic. Employing a qualitative research design with a descriptive approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews and observations. The participants consisted of three students from the 2016 cohort who were undertaking their thesis during the pandemic. The findings indicate that two of the three participants experienced suboptimal levels of psychological well-being. Key factors influencing their wellbeing included self-acceptance, autonomy, and environmental mastery. Low selfacceptance, dependence on others, and challenges in managing both academic and personal environments were identified as major obstacles. These results underscore the need for psychological support and effective coping strategies to enhance students’ well-being, particularly in high-pressure contexts such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The study recommends that educational institutions and relevant stakeholders implement targeted interventions to promote students’ mental health and resilience.
