Abstract

This research aims to determine whether the accounting applied to the Sekip Berjaya Savings and Loans Village Economic Business (UEK-SP) Sekip Village, Limapuluh District, Pekanbaru City is in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. The analysis in this research uses a qualitative descriptive method, the types and sources of data used are primary and secondary data and data collection techniques are carried out using interview and documentation methods. The data source for this research comes from notes and documents provided by the manager of the Sekip Berjaya Savings and Loans Village Economic Enterprise (UEK-SP) Sekip Village, Limapuluh District, Pekanbaru City to researchers. The Sekip Berjaya Savings and Loans Village Economic Enterprise (UEK-SP) has not kept a journal for every transaction, has not made a ledger, a change in equity report, a cash flow report, has not made allowances for bad debts, and has only shrunk some fixed assets. So, based on the results of research conducted at UEK-SP Sekip Berjaya, Sekip Village, Limapuluh District, Pekanbaru City, it can be concluded that the accounting applied by the management as a whole is not in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (PABU).
