Abstract

To develop the Broiler Chicken business, breeders carry out development efforts by establishing a partnership pattern, so that farmers are assisted by companies in providing production inputs and marketing. This study aims to 1) analyze the characteristics and business profile of broiler breeders in Pandau Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District. 2) analyzing the business (cultivation technology, use of production factors, costs, production, prices, income, and efficiency and BEP) on broiler farms in Pandau Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District. This study used a case study survey method on the "Perosari Broiler Chicken" business in Pandau Jaya Village, Siak Hulu District, Siak Regency. Determination of the place of research is done purposively (purposive). The results showed 1) The characteristics of entrepreneurs are 48 years old, 12 years of entrepreneur education, 2 years of business experience and 3 dependents of a family. Having 3 workers, starting the business in 2020. 2) Production costs incurred by the entrepreneur are IDR 473,546,520/production period. The entrepreneur's gross income is IDR 955,697,000 with a net income of IDR 482,150,480/production period and an RCR of 2.03, thus the efficiency is very low, where from this business the entrepreneur only receives a net income of IDR 1.03 from each expense incurred, namely IDR 1 .00 for the broiler maintenance business in the Perosari business. The breakeven point (BEP) of the broiler business was achieved in sales volume (Rp) with a value of 18,942 and sales volume (unit) of 12,461.75 kg. In this condition, the broiler broiler business does not make a profit and also does not experience a loss
