Abstract

The research objective was to determine the interaction and main effect of organic fertilizer and organic NPK on the initial growth of porang plants. 113, Air cold Village, Bukit Raya District, Pekanbaru, for four months from September to December 2022. The design used in this study was a Factorial Completely Randomized Design (CRD) consisting of 2 factors. The first factor is Organic Fertilizer with 4 treatment levels and the second factor is Organic NPK Fertilizer with 4 treatment levels. Where each treatment consisted of 3 replications so that 48 experimental units were obtained. Each experimental unit consisted of 4 plants and 2 of them were used as sample plants, so that 192 plants were obtained. Parameters observed were plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, canopy width, tuber diameter and tuber weight. Observational data were analyzed statistically and continued with the BNJ test at the 5% level. Based on the results of the study it can be concluded that the interaction effect of the type of organic fertilizer and organic NPK tended to be significantly different on the weight of porang tubers, but not significantly different on plant height, number of leaves, stem diameter, canopy width and tuber diameter. The best treatment combination is cow manure 500 g/plant and organic NPK 15 g/plant. The main effect of the type of organic fertilizer was significantly different for all observation parameters with the best treatment of cow manure 500 g/plant. The main effect of organic NPK was significantly different for all observed parameters with the best organic NPK treatment of 15 g/plant.
