Abstract

ilm serves as an effective communication tool, conveying information and messages to audiences while evoking emotions and expanding knowledge on various issues and topics. This medium has the power to alter perspectives and influence thoughts, thereby shaping public opinion and awareness. Specifically, the film "Buya Hamka Vol. 1" showcases the life of a leader with strong integrity and vision, who navigates numerous challenges while remaining true to his principles and becoming a societal role model. Through a qualitative methodology employing John Fiske's semiotic analysis, this study seeks to uncover the moral messages embedded within the film. By analyzing scenes, dialogue, and narrative, the research reveals that "Buya Hamka Vol. 1" emphasizes the importance of integrity, patience, and effective leadership. Ultimately, the study concludes that the film can serve as a potent medium for disseminating positive moral messages and life values.
