Abstract

The assessment and nomination process in bird song competitions is still carried out manually using paper and pen, despite being attended by hundreds of participants. This condition often leads to recording errors and consumes a significant amount of time due to the manual nature of the scoring process. This study aims to develop a digital, web-based system to replace the manual system, making the assessment process more effective and efficient. The system implements a Decision Support System (DSS) using the Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) method to evaluate participants based on four main criteria: song rhythm, volume, duration, and style. The application of the SAW method enables faster, more transparent, and more accurate scoring. The results of this study indicate that the system is capable of generating objective nomination rankings based on predefined criteria. However, the current system still requires admin assistance for participant registration. Therefore, future developments are expected to support online registration and payment, as well as provide visualized scoring results in the form of charts accessible only by the respective participants.
