Abstract

Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is a familiar concept, but many companies in Indonesia still don't implement it, and many people don't understand why CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) isn't implemented by companies, even though every company is required to have one. With the increasingly competitive modern world, many companies are now neglecting their corporate social responsibility in favor of profit, even though CSR is a key focus in the business world. In this study, the author discusses two research questions: how regulations regarding CSR are implemented at PT. Meskom Agro Sarimas and what factors hinder the implementation of CSR at PT. Meskom Agro Sarimas. The research method used in this study was observational research using a survey, while the nature of this study is descriptive. The population in this study used quota sampling, and the data collection tool used was interviews. CSR implementation at PT. Meskom Agro Sarimas has strived to comply with the applicable regulatory framework, although there is still room for improvement in terms of deepening sustainability aspects and expanding social impact. The company has demonstrated its commitment by involving the community in planning and implementing programs tailored to local needs, such as economic empowerment and infrastructure development. CSR implementation at PT. Meskom Agro Sarimas faces several challenges, particularly related to coordinating program schedules with community activities, which often clash with harvest seasons or other economic activities. Furthermore, there is a gap between the priority needs of the village and the company's proposed program plans. Other challenges include limited human resources in the village to support optimal program implementation and the lack of a continuous evaluation mechanism to measure long-term impact.
